Deirdre Daly is a portrait, documentary and landscape photographer.
She experiences the world as a range of stories seeing them in the facial expression of other humans, in street scenes, events and in and nature. With a respectful view on the world around her, she has a keen eye for capturing fleeting moments and invites the viewer to experience what that moment feels like. Her process involves digital, analogue, and camera-less techniques
Deirdre is originally from Ireland and has been based in Amsterdam since 2006. She has a background in visual design and design thinking strategy working for companies including the BBC, IBM and Elsevier. Deirdre has studied at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam and since 2019 has been photographing on commission, and for her own projects.
